About OutwardStride

OutwardStride was launched in 2024 by Susie Dan - an educator who is also an underpronator (supinator) working to identify and create a healthy neutral gait.

Susie isn’t a runner, and wanted to create general educational content for all people to answer the question: “How do you live well with your pronation?'“

The goal of the site is to share information, resources and tips to support people to identify and manage their pronation and be able to lead active lives, free from discomfort, pain and injury.

It is focused around three key areas:

  • Understanding your own pronation tendency and identifying any specific issues.

  • Deciding what lifestyle choices are ok for your pronation (and what needs modifying or letting go of).

  • Learning about suitable footwear for your pronation, and choosing the right ones for different situations.
